Baker, Emery, Goldstein & Jasicki to Join Jennifer Jason Leigh for Abigail's Party

Max Baker, Lisa Emery, Darren Goldstein and Elizabeth Jasicki will join Jennifer Jason Leigh in the New Group production of Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party. The mounting, directed by Scott Elliott, is scheduled to begin performances at Theatre Row's Acorn Theatre on November 14.

Baker has appeared in New Group productions of Comedians, Some Voices, What The Butler Saw and Goose-Pimples. Emery's Broadway credits include The Smell Of The Kill, The Women, Present Laughter, Jackie, Burn This and Rumors. Goldstein appeared in last season's New Group production of Terrorism. Jasicki's theatrical credits include mountings of As You Like It, Relatively Speaking, Man & Superman, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Jane Eyre, Wizard of Oz, The Talented Mr. Ripley and When Harry Met Sally.

Abigail's Party is a dissection of British middle-class life in the 1970s. This tale of suburban London takes place over the course of one night and many cocktails. Romance, revelation and rude behavior follow as two gatherings in neighboring abodes are in full swing--which will be the one to remember?

Abigail's Party is scheduled to officially open on December 1 and run through January 7.
